Dann Schoendorf Joins Bayer Corporation To Expand Water Treatment Activity In Western NAFTA Region

 

PITTSBURGH, August 31, 1999 - Bayer Corporation's Industrial Chemicals Division announced today that Dann T. Schoendorf has joined its Water Treatment Group as Western Regional Sales Manager to market its ion exchange resins, hydrazine and Bayhibit water treatment products in the Western NAFTA region. He will focus on the semiconductor, electronics, refining and utility industries.

Schoendorf is a veteran sales and marketing executive with many years of experience in territory development. His most recent position was Northwest Regional Sales Manager with the Balazs Analytical Laboratory in Vancouver, Washington, where he developed new accounts and generated new streams of revenue in the Northwest semiconductor market.

He previously served as Northwest Business Area Manager for Romic Environmental Technologies in Vancouver, where he significantly increased regional sales. He also developed new sales territories for Laidlaw Environmental Services in Vancouver.

"Dann Schoendorf has a strong background in the semiconductor industry, particularly in ultrapure water testing and analytical service applications," said Charles Fluharty, Business Unit Manager for Ion Exchange Resins. "He is a significant addition to our West Coast activity, where we now offer a full range of specialty and general water treatment resins and chemicals from our Los Angeles warehouse."

"We've further strengthened our West Coast team with the addition of Barry Robin as technical consultant in the San Francisco area," Fluharty added. "Barry adds 25 years of technical expertise in ion exchange resins, including process and specialty application development."

Fluharty explained that Schoendorf will work closely with water treatment team members Tony DeCola, newly promoted to Product Manager for the brine purification segment, and Phil Fatula, recently promoted to Technical Manager for the ultrapure water and waste treatment segments.
